Centerpoint Medical Center Medical Staff Scholarship

Eligibility

• Must be an employee or dependent of an employee of Centerpoint Medical Center;
• Must be pursuing a degree related to human healthcare (nursing, pharmacy, radiology, etc.);
• Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 during the last four semesters of study;
• Must have demonstrated participation in community service and/or employment activities;
• Must have excellent communication skills (applicants may be asked to complete a phone or personal interview to demonstrate communication skills).

Award Amount

Up to $1,000 per academic year.Renewable:Yes, this scholarship may be renewed for three additional years of funding. An application must be submitted with proof of continuing college enrollment and a minimum college cumulative GPA of 2.5 to receive renewal funding.

Deadline

The General Application for the 2026-2027 cycle will be available December 1, 2025 and due February 16, 2026 (including any requirements listed below).

Requirements

• Transcripts showing grades from Fall Semester 2025. Any applications submitted with transcripts omitting Fall Semester 202 will n5ot be considered.
• Proof of acceptance to a healthcare-specific program at your college or university.
• Letter of recommendation from a teacher or supervisor.
• Personal Statement essay elaborating on your educational and career goals (approximately 500 words).
